Alumni at OIV in Mexico

Today’s photo takes us to Mexico and the 2022 OIV Conference. Our alumni were a presence, engaging with other members of the global wine industry.  During lunch on Wednesday the group discussed their experience in our Wine MBA Program and the current state of the wine industry with the dignitaries who will be joining us on campus next week.  

Standing on the left is alum Fabian Jauregui of FlyWithWine and co-owner of Vinitacora with his spouse (seated to his right) Lorena Vionda.  Lorena is the official ambassador of the 43rd World Congress of the OIV and author of several books on the Mexican wine industry.  To his left is alum Marta Juega Rivera of Alliance Wine in the UK, who spoke on Circularity and Sustainability in the Wine Industry during the Congress.

Next is alum Jeff Baccus at Advanced Viticulture followed by one of our guests, Laurel Parker of FIVS.  At the top of the table on the right side is alum Tierney Deal of St. Francis, then three guests who you will meet next week on campus:  Ignacio Sánchez Recarte of the CEEV - Comité Européen des Entreprises Vins,  Bennett Caplan, also of FIVS and José Luis Benítez of the Federación Española Del Vino.

Our alumni are ambassadors for our brand wherever they travel and to watch them engage with global leaders in these settings makes me proud.  We truly are creating the next generation of wine industry leaders.
