Alumni Insights

Today’s photo takes us back to the Dim Sum Palace in Manhattan.  During our luncheon, we had a most illuminating discussion about evolving and surprising consumer expectations in the hipster neighborhoods of New York.

Two of our group, Mark Jammal and Stefanie Schwartz are both based in Brooklyn. They recounted stories of consumers who request Orange Wines and Natural Wines yet don’t really know what those monikers mean (or don’t mean).  Consumers are certainly not all cut from the same cloth.

What our board members and myself observed is that our students and alumni are growing into the wine business leaders that we sought to foster when the Wine Business Institute was created over 25 years ago.  The vision is coming true.
