WBI Board Members

This week we feature WBI Board Member Kaj Ahlmann.  On September 29, Kaj and the President of Huttopia celebrated the grand opening of Huttopia Wine Country at the Six Sigma Ranch and Winery.  Check it out:  Huttopia.

The joint venture was six years in the making and began operations with 63 units on the property.  This photo was shot in front of the main lodge where the beverages that we all enjoy are available. 

During the grand opening event, alumnus Christian Ahlmann shared with me the genesis of this lodging opportunity on the Six Sigma Ranch.  He took me back to a conversation we had back in 2013 in Calistoga, when he was refining his capstone project after graduating from the Executive Wine MBA Program.  

Over successive years he refined and advanced the business model that he first presented to his fellow students in St. Helena.  The early work and subsequent refinement positioned Six Sigma to take advantage of future opportunities.  When the idea of a joint venture with Huttopia presented itself, Six Sigma was ready.
